Reports from well-known social media leaker Temporyal suggest that Battlefield 2042 is gearing up for a surprisingly large content update in the near future, likely the last one before the global launch of Battlefield 6 on October 10, 2025.
According to leaks, the new update will include a new map, three new weapons, and two new vehicles from the Battlefield Vault. One of the biggest surprises is the return of the Iwo Jima map, a famous location in the history of the Battlefield series, although it seems unexpected in the context of Battlefield 2042 and even Battlefield 6.
Also notable is the inclusion of elements associated with Pax Armata, the main antagonistic faction in Battlefield 6, which could be interpreted as a promotional move by EA to build excitement for the new installment by gradually introducing its elements into Battlefield 2042.
The leaks also point to the return of the SU-25TM and A-10 Warthog, two classic vehicles beloved by the Battlefield community, known for their immense destructive power in support of ground forces.
